Beste kaderleden en leden van FNV Havens,
Onze collega-vakbond CGT van Le Havre heeft ons verzocht onderstaande verzoek onder jullie aandacht te brengen.
Dear comrades,
As you probably already know, we are actually in struggle against a new general working law, imposed by the gouvernment by an article of the contitution that permit them to bypass the vote of the french assembly.
Once again, liberalism prevail and social rights are getting down for the workers, promoting casual work instead of increasing job security.
The government is facing is last stand, when more than 70% of the population is against this law, and when 61% of the population take the government responsible for the blockades and demonstrations. The use of strength by the police, following the order of the government, to repress the worker’s fight, and notably against french dockworkers in some picket line imposed us to strengthen our positions.
Those positions as you know in addition to the duration of the conflict do that the shipowners divert cargos and vessels from our port to others in the north range since the beginning of the conflict. The diversion will even improved this week and the next, that’s why we are asking you to bring us support in this conflict.
Comrades, i am sure that solidarity will prevail as always in dockworkers mind, so let’s get in touch as soon as possible to see what can be done together.

De Franse regering probeert nog even de werkweek te flexibiliseren door deze op te rekken in het aantal te werken uren. Daarnaast moet het makkelijker worden om werknemers te ontslaan. Dit zijn voorstellen waar de werkgevers in Nederland ook geen ‘neen’ tegen zouden zeggen. En over de Nederlandse regering kunnen wij het ook wel eens zijn : Rutte en zijn club zijn ‘Pro werkgevers’.
Indien er schepen vanuit Le Havre en Marseille uitwijken naar Rotterdam is het verzoek gedaan door jullie Franse collegahavenwerkers om deze op gepaste wijze te ontvangen.
